• New Cut off date for EB2 India - July 1st 2011

    Revolutionary Visa bulletin of October 2015 got great news for Greencard applicants of EB2 India and China. Newly revised visa bulletin system will have two cutoff dates one for filing adjustment of status (I-485) and one for the final issuance of the Greencard.

    This is the best over visa bulletin after the 2007 visa bulletin in which all employment based categories were made current.

    New Cutoff Date for Filing Visa application

    With the October 2015 (Start of the year for the immigration) visa bulletin, US Department of State introduced a new filing date for the applicants so that they can file I-485/EAD early. Visa date of Eb2 India is set at July 1st 2011, which means anyone who had a approved Labour with priority date of on or before the date set by uscis can file for I-485/EAD.

    You will get the EAD within 3-6 months after filing for the Visa application.

    Filing dates based on New system are as follows.

    Application Final action Date

    The second cutoff date is the date of final decision by USCIS on Greencard applcation. This date will always be on or later than the 'New Date' for Filing Visa application.

    Based on the DOL visa bulletin Application final action date for Eb2 India is May 1st 2005.

    Those who has approved labour on or before July 1st 2011 can file I-485 for Greencard, but only whose date is on or before May 1st 2005 will get the Greencard.
