If you file under master's quota then first you will be selected from the pool of 20000 applicants and god forbid not selected within that pool will be rolled to the general quota of 65000. If you see as a master's candidate you have double the chance than others without an advanced degree. All the best!! I am floating in the same boat too. What day has come? our future is based on some stupid random selection done by a computer system.

If a person with Masters degree does not get selected through Masters quota, then he/she is automatically entered into the Regular Quota lucky draw.

Hello. I have a doubt. What are the chances of getting the H1B Visa being approved after going to the regular quota? My dream was to study abroad and i'm almost there. After spending so much, dont want to come back without repaying the loan. That would be devastating.
Is it possible to apply for jobs in other countries like australia/UK if this happens?
