• GRE Negative Marking and GRE Negative points for Wrong Answers

    i heard from Jan 1st 2014 onwards GRE will have negative marking for wrong answers. Is it true? Can you tell me how negative marking in GRE works? How many points will i loose for each question if i answer it wrong? Is there negative marking on both Verbal and Quant sections?

    GRE Negative marking

    As of now ETS has not announced any information or bulletin on GRE negative marking in 2014.What all you are hearing on Facebook and other websites about GRE negative scoring is just Rumor. This is being spread by some GRE coaching centers to make students afraid and make money by forcing them to join GRE coaching.

    So, you don't need to worry about GRE Negative marking or negative points for Wrong answers.

    Currently GRE scoring is Adaptive and based on number of correct answers to the questions.

      ETS has confirmed that there won't be a negative marking on the GRE at least till 2015.

      The people who are writing in 2015 they dont have negative marking in GRE? can reply this question.
