F1 Visa Interview Experience of a MSinUS Student whose visa is rejected due to lack of bank balance in HDFC account to match the Amount Specified on I20.

F1 visa Rejection - Bank Balance Problem

ME :- HDFC DONT HAVE PASSBOKS SO , I MESSED I GAVE MY BANK STATEMNETS HAD NRTHING MUCH MONEY ALL TOGETHER OF JUST 3.5LCS

ME :- I TOTALLY LOST CONTROL OF THE SITUATION HERE ....

me:- i said i have FD'S and also a loan of 10 lacs,, but he was not ready to listen

I was rejected visa yesterday I had fixed deposits of 10 lacs but wat i did was i dint show it in my accounts , i thought evn fixed deposits are also treatd as liquid cash, so th VO said dat u have in sufficeint funds , now do i require to cam=ncel the FD'S and transfer to my account and take the statement, at the end wat he said was " Uodnt have sufficient balance" plz come again. Help me

please tell me wat to do next guys.

F1 Visa Tips for Bank Balance

This Student showed bank balance of just 3 lacks where as the i20 mentions $24,000/year. Your bank balance(Liquid Fund or Direct Cash in Bank) should be above the amount on I20.

Don't show Fixed Deposits(FD), PFs under readily available funds for your F1 Visa Interview. They will NOT be considered as immediate liquid funds available(Direct Cash). They are extra amounts available for your Education.

You can Show your loan as an alternative. Having a loan with Good Bank balance will impress visa officer. It would prove that you have enough financial funds for your Education.

Total Amounts, Including CA and CE statements, should cover your expenses/tuition/fee for completion of degree which is almost 2 to 3 times the amount mentioned on I-20.

One of the main reasons for F1 Visa Rejection is - Students show FD + Bank Balance + CA/CE Statement + Yearly Income + Loan) for first year education.

Make sure you know what are all the transactions on our bank statement.

Sometimes Visa Officers Don't even look at Funds for Education. Then you are lucky.
