How to get F1 Visa Appointment? - Booking Visa Date

In order to get a F1 Visa appointment (booking visa slot) with US Consulate ( Hyderabad,Chennai, Delhi,Kolkata,Mumbai ) all you need to pay Visa fee at selected branches of HDFC bank . After paying Visa fee you will get HDFC bank receipt which contains a barcode number. The barcode number will be activated after two working days of payment made.



Now go to VFS website: https://www.vfs-usa.co.in/ApplnForms/RegularUser.aspx


Now click on "Schedule Appointment with the U.S. Embassy". Go head with Accepting the terms and conditions and continue till you see this screen. You need to enter Passport expiry date before this. Here is a screenshot of form sample filling. The purpose of travel for an F1 student is generally would be 'Study in the USA/Exchange Visitor'. Visa Class is - F-1(Acadamic or Language Studies.)
After this screen There is a screen showing the present status of Availability of Dates in the green mark - press continue


You have to fill the details like First Name, Last Name, HDFC Bank Receipt No. etc. and then press continue.


After entering information and going through the required stepsyou will see a screen showing the present status of Availability of Dates in the green mark - press on the appropriate date.


Then it shows a screen, which you have taken the time and date of confirmed a appointment and then press continue.
