    F1 Visa Interview Tips

    1. Confidence

    I know everyone says it. But it is not as easy as people say it. In the neck of the moment, you will be literally shivering. EVERYONE will. But, try to be confident. DO NOT Stammer! DO not say hmmmmm or wellll or actuallyyyy or the thing is.... or anything like that. Small tips to at least act as if you are confident even though you are not!

    2. Documents

    Be absolutely sure you have all the documents in file and that you are not doing any mistake.

    3. Appearance

    SMILE!!! Please smile! Even if the VO is not looking at you, SMILE! You may think he is not noticing but he sees everything in just your face. LOOK INTO THE VO'S EYES!!!! Eye contact is very important. You cannot look into his eyes if you are lying. So if you avoid eye contact, you are in suspicion of fraud. Wear very decent dress. Carry yourself like a boss!

    Just the three. Nothing more is required. Even if you do not have documents, be confident and you can get through!

    And a small tip to applicants with backlogs, DO NOT BE DISHEARTENED! Do not listen to many ignorant people who say "Backlogs is bad. You will not get admit. You will not get visa. They will reject you"! Backlogs has absolutely NOTHING to do with your Master's plan!! Be hopeful and be confident! If you need any more assistance, I would be happy to help! Because, for the next 3 months, I am absolutely jobless!

    Cheers! Thanks a lot everyone for all your help and guidance!

      Need some advice. I have started my gre preparation with great conviction of scoring 330+ in the exam.

      But sometimes i feel insecure due to my poor academics. below are the details
      10th = 72.3%
      12th= 60%.
      Graduation Bachelor of engg(electronics) = 56.8 with backlogs in every semester.
      I do have a work experience of 4.5 years
      I started off my carrier as software test engineer. Currently iam working as a senior consultant.

      Now you tell me how fair are my chances to get admission to any good college in USA.

      Do not worry about getting the admit at all. Admission is pretty simple. And are you from Mumbai University? If so, that 56% will be justified more easily. But nevertheless, getting an admit is easy with a great Statement of Purpose. I myself am sincerely shocked that I received admits from CSU Fullerton and UT Arlington. But UNC Charlotte was my best admit, so went for it. With a good SOP and work experience like yours, landing an admit is cake walk!
