    If you are applying to 5 univs follow this plan:

    1) Apply to 2 universities above your Grade.
    2) Apply to 2 universities in the Grade you got.
    3) Apply to 1 school in the lower grade from the one you got. This will be a safe school for your profile.

    Make sure your TOEFL/IELTS score meets the university requirement.

      I have scored a 306 in GRE, and retaking it. But I have very small time gap between the two, so I am doubtful about my improvement. I wish to go for PhD in computer science. Anyways, the question is how strict are the universities regarding their cutoffs? I have spoken to a few profs who has shown interest in my profile, but in many cases I miss the cutoffs by 3-4 marks. The profs know my GRE scores. So will they relax their cutoff if I apply? or will they refuse me?

      Myself Lalith Varma,

      My GRE SCORE is 295 with 156 in Quant and 139 in Verbal.
      My IELTS SCORE is 6.5
      MY B.Tech Percentage is 71%
      Have working experience of about 8 months in IBM, VIRTUSA as intern.
      Have 2 Backlogs in the past.

      Please help me out.
      Prefer to go California or else any good university as suggested.

      job ex 2 yrs in web development..
      I want to know about the univ in which i can apply for MS in CS..
      and how about the courses like MIS and MEM (masters in engineering management) i have no idea about them as in how is their market in USA.. kindly suggest me something guys please
